Lake Sharpe Tailwaters in Pierre Produces
These walleyes were taken this morning in Pierre. No smallmouth bass were caught but the walleyes were nice. We caught around 20 and boxed the last one around 1:30pm.
There has been a fair bite in Pierre all summer. The nicer ones may be beginning to migrate up the river now as things are starting cool at nights. The shad are really running the shallows also. More water is being let out of the Oahe Dam now probably thanks to Gov John Blunt of Missouri pleading to the Corps for more water downstream. The reservours above are again going to be at record low levels this fall if this keeps up. When will they learn to conserve and manage all pool levels equally before its too late?
