There are lots of game running around the snowpack but hardly any way to get close to them on foot.  Ice fishing has been the ticket for entertainment.  In fact, the bite has been good for bluegill and perch.  The last trip we did last weekend we caught over 80 nice sized bluegills.  We caught fish all day long and had alot of fun.

The spearing on Oahe has been good also.  I have not gone myself but heard that they are having success.  I used to spear alot but since there is a slot limit on walleye now, you are really taking your chances in guessing the lengths of fish you are spearing.  I cannot afford to lose my fishing privledges.  With that said, I normally don't participate.
