Lake Oahe is showing signs of improvement over the last few years. This season the walleye are good and fat like the old days. A yearly walleye stocking program for Oahe (started a few years ago like the 90’s is finally starting to see results in the fishery).

We are bringing home limits of nice walleye every day from the Cheyenne River. Fishing is excellent! Get a hold of me for some open dates in July.

Scott and I guided our group from Great Falls Montana. We ended up with some decent fish out of West Bend and some nice perch also. Everyone got their limits of walleye but we had to go through quite a few under 15.

This spawned out female was caught and released this morning down at West Bend. The anglers were from Lebanon, Missouri, where Fisher Boats were made.

My wife and I were out checking the boat and I caught my first fish of the year. Not sure how big she was. Full eggs and we let her go.
