Excellent hunting this year
November 21. Excellent hunting this year. The crops are all out now, and we have well over 1000 wild birds on the farm to hunt. Give me a call if you’re interested. We hunt through the middle of December.
Tons of Wild Birds
We have tons of wild birds this year. Many are roosters. Unfortunately with the election outcome some of our groups have cancelled. We have excellent hunting available for the rest of the year. Please get a hold of me if you are interested in exercising your Second Amendment rights.
November Blast and Cast
November 1st ” Blast and Cast”. Spaid Farms and Lake Sharpe, Missouri River Pierre, South Dakota. Fishing jigs and minnows 150 yards from the Ramkota Hotel.

Good Friends
Not much going on so I let a couple of my good friends hunt for a couple days. It’s hard to get your limit with just two guys, but we found a 40 row sunflower strip where there were pheasants feeding. It’s impossible to walk through the rows of sunflowers so they walked the edges of the cut field and about 150 birds came out the sides. Can’t wait till harvest is over. It’s gonna take a while.
Warming Temps Excellent Hunting
The winter storm finally diminished and warmer temperatures are around the corner. We have 6 to 10 inches of snow and the bird hunting is excellent. Most of the birds are roosting in the tree belts and going out to our uncut corn strips to feed.
Winter in South Dakota
Winter conditions arrive in South Dakota. 6 to 8 inches of snow fell on Wednesday. Although we were having to trudge through the snow, the bird numbers are excellent and we only walk less than a half mile or so and have our limits. There are still quite a few fields yet to be harvested and the snow is not expected to last very long…we’ll see.
2020 Pheasant Opener
This group had a “blast” on South Dakota’s pheasant opener.
Lake Sharpe Report
September 30th. Despite the wind and other conditions fishing was great. We managed to fill out everyone in our group with nice walleye from Lake Sharpe.
Back in the Cheyenne
Helping Hutch out, we caught these in the back of the Cheyenne River on Lake Oahe in 10 to 12 feet of water.
Lake Sharpe Shallow Bite
These fish were caught on Lake Sharpe in 7 feet of water.
