November 17
Our Hunting Season So Far
Excellent weather and good numbers of pheasants this season.
September 24
Another nice catch of 20 walleye in Lake Sharpe. We picked these up in 6-8 feet of water. We all caught fish but the women out fished the men of course.
September 16
Father from Spearfish and son from Dubuque get together in Pierre for some fishing.
September 13
The fall run of walleye is heating up in Lake Sharpe. All of these fish were over the minimum 15 inch size limit.
September 8 – Lake Oahe
Mike and Kathy with their limits of nice walleye on Oahe.
September 7 – Lake Oahe
Renee’s second day fishing landed this nice walleye on Lake Oahe.
September 6 – Lake Oahe
August 22 – Lake Sharpe
Larger Walleye
Despite the Heat
Despite extreme heat and wind a group from Saint Cloud Minnesota caught limits of walleye on Oahe with a few nice ones here and there.
Back to Lake Sharpe
July 16. Back to Lake Sharpe. There is the South Dakota Governors Cup going on this weekend. A tournament that I no longer fish but have one four times. Great memories. I would say that the fish averages are slightly larger this year in Sharpe than Lake Oahe. There are a lot of 12 to 13 inch walleye in Oahe to deal with chances to catch a nice walleye are better. Something to look forward to in the future.
