Oahe Walleye in Agency Creek
Lower Oahe is producing some nice fish. Screw the gravel roads. We caught our limit by 11 AM down on the lower end of Lake Oahe in Agency Creek. The fish were caught on bottom bouncers in 8-10 feet of water. Here is a 23 inch female that was released.
Big Cheyenne Walleye Released
Another large female released this morning. Caught up in the Cheyenne River. We have openings in July and August, please give me a call or text for available days.

Oahe Walleye are on Fire
Bob and Ruth Steever from Gillette, Wyoming and Bob and Joann Hofer from Sioux Falls and I caught these 20 walleye today. Winds were gusting 20 to 35 miles an hour and we fished near the mouth of the Cheyenne River along the steep banks and the walleye were on fire. The fish came out of 3 to 8 feet of water using spinners and crawlers.
Big Oahe Walleye Caught and Released
Ray Welsch from Bedford, Pennsylvania caught and released this 27 inch female walleye on Lake Oahe.
Healthy Lake Oahe Walleyes
The walleye on Lake Oahe are looking very healthy this year. This young angler caught his biggest walleye so far. A 25 incher today weighing over 5 pounds. His Grampa followed up with a nice northern pike.

West Bend, Lake Sharpe report for May 14th, 2019
Fabulous weather but the West Bend bite is getting slower. Most of the fish have finished their spawn and must be recovering. Matt and Nancy from Wasilla, Alaska hired me to take them out today. They have a real nice motor home and are traveling through the states. We had a great time visiting and enjoying the weather, but the bite was slow to none compared to last week.
Report for May 7th – 12th 2019
Guided Jerry Fennel from Wisconsin and his party to nice limits on day one. Day two the South Dakota spring weather hampered the bite some.
Walleye bite at West Bend on Lake Sharpe
Walleye bite turning on, caught more walleye than smallmouth on this trip today. We got them in 8 to 10 feet with jigs and minnows.
Releasing Bred Hen Pheasants for Wild Bird Hunting in 2019
We are seeing more wild pheasants than we predicted this spring. It’s still a great idea to try and start birds in the spring to ensure more wild bird hunting, rather than simply releasing pen raised birds in the fall.
Lake Sharpe Fishing Report for April 27-28, 2019
Walleye and smallmouth starting to bite near Pierre despite the cold weather this weekend. 20-25 fish each day. The smallmouth bass are in great shape, the walleye are running a little smaller.
