Our walleye fishing has been a little slower and harder to find than last year. But the walleye are nicer sized as you can see and are in good shape. The weather has been very nice.

Pheasant hunting went very well the first day. We still have a lot of crops to harvest but there seems to be a lot more birds here than the last three years. All the areas we hunted had lots of birds in them.

We have been bringing in limits like these almost every day. The fish are running a little nicer than last year. Lots of openings left for this fall. Don’t miss out.

Several Walleye 15 to 20 inches are being caught in my boat this week. A lot larger than I had imagined. After years of fishing these waters, I have figured out the perfect lure combinations for this bite. The bite should continue this fall until the snow flies this winter.

We caught 6 limits of walleye and ten channel cats down on Lake Sharpe. Nick caught the largest cat he’s ever caught. The fish are running a little small and we released a lot of fish but everyone had fun.

As the walleye fishing was slow yesterday on Lake Oahe, we decided to target Smallmouth Bass. Jake and Sid Wahl of Elk Point, SD show some of their fish they caught. Two proud anglers.
