September 6 – Lake Oahe
August 22 – Lake Sharpe
Larger Walleye
Larger Walleye are starting to turn on down on the lower third of Oahe. Each member of this group from Kansas caught at least one nice walleye and other fish on Saturday. I had the women and they won over a slight edge over the men. The men had to set the table and wash dishes tonight.
Despite the Heat
Despite extreme heat and wind a group from Saint Cloud Minnesota caught limits of walleye on Oahe with a few nice ones here and there.
Back to Lake Sharpe
July 16. Back to Lake Sharpe. There is the South Dakota Governors Cup going on this weekend. A tournament that I no longer fish but have one four times. Great memories. I would say that the fish averages are slightly larger this year in Sharpe than Lake Oahe. There are a lot of 12 to 13 inch walleye in Oahe to deal with chances to catch a nice walleye are better. Something to look forward to in the future.
Lots of Fish
July 14. 4 person group. We fished Lake Oahe today. Lots of 12 to 14 inch walleye some larger. The fish are biting. I would say the average would be three to six nice ones per day.
Filled Out
June 29. Kearney NE group fills out on nice walleye this morning on Lake Sharpe.
Hawkeye and Walleye
Hawkeye fans enjoy two nice days of fishing.
West Bend
June 23. Sutherland NE family has good luck this morning at West Bend.
Texan’s Catch
June 10. Texas anglers have good luck fishing Missouri River in Pierre.
